Unscrupulous Solicitation!

OK ladies and gents!

Just like the title of this email says, we are here to solicit help from you! We know we have been asking for a lot lately, and you have been soooooooo generous! You have blown our minds in ways that we could never have even hoped, and shown what a Mighty Amazing God we serve!

As you know, we have been selected as a featured family in June with an organization called Give1Save1. You can find out more about them here:
http://www.give1save1africa.blogspot.com/

The gist is this... they feature a family on their blog for one week, during that week they ask their readers to donate $1.00 to the families adoption cause. They also ask the family to spread the word like wildfire! This is the key to this fundraiser being successful! The more people that see it, the more potential earnings we get to bring home sweet Hank and Liam!
We are excited to announce that will be hosted June 3-7! That's only 5 days away!

So here is what we are asking you to do, and please know, yes, we know that we are asking a lot of you and we appreciate you more than words can say!
We are asking you to share our story, share our blog, www.thebrewerbrood.com. Do you have a website you can post our video on? Maybe your business or place of work will let you post it? Can you post it on your facebook feed, college website, church website, twitter feed, send it to every email in your address book?

It would mean the world to us if we could get this out to thousands and thousands of people! We are praying that we could complete our funding next week which means we need to raise $26,000 dollars! We know that's a lot, but we have already raised over $21,000.00 thanks to your amazing generosity!

There is something in it for you to (other than our eternal love and gratitude:). Every day next week we will be giving something away on our blog! For every dollar given you will receive an entry in that days raffle (this is your first step). Then for every share, email, etc. you will receive an additional entry, then if that share results in a dollar given via a referral from you, you will receive an additional entry!

For example:
You give $10.00 on Tuesday and you are entered 10 times into a raffle for the $100.00 target gift card, you share us on your website and receive another entry. Then someone gives $10.00 and tells us you referred them and you receive an additional ten entries!

Woo hoo! you have 21 entries for the $100.00 target gift card!

We know that this is a lot to ask, but we know that we serve a Great Big God who calls us to ask of him expectantly!
Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts!
Love,
The Brewers,
Kelly, Taylor, Tatum, Blakely, and coming soon Hank and Liam!

13 days!

We are soooooo close!

If you have heard us talk, or read the blog lately you have probably heard about Give1Save1! It is a truly amazing organization and we have been blessed to be featured on their website!

Families are making anywhere from $2,000-$12,000 on their feature week! Yes you read that right! It is such a simple concept and I really think that is why it works so well! They feature a family on their blog with a short video and ask their readers to give just $1.00 (or more). Then they ask their readers and the featured family, and their friends and family, to share the video and blog through every outlet they know!

We are so excited that the week of June 3-7 we will be featured on Give1Save!

Do you have an outlet, social media, a website, friends and family that you can share our boys story with?

We are $26,000.00 from our goal. That may seem huge, but let me put it in perspective, we have already raised through your generosity approximatley $21,500.00 WOO HOO! I wish you could see me jumping up and down as I write this! We are almost half way there! God can do this!

We are praying that we could complete our funding during this week.

Take a minute to go and check out their blog: http://give1save1africa.blogspot.com/

Don't forget to watch the blog closely during that week also becuase there will be some amazing give-a-ways! You don't want to miss this!

Mary or Martha?

A few days ago we got some news...

The DRC has halted all exit visas for adopted children. What does this mean? Well that is what we have been asking our selves for the past several days.

In all of the worry a wonderful friend reminded me of something. she said "Stop being Martha!" She reminded me that sometimes we need to sit a Jesus' feet and just let him teach us.

Luke 10:38-42

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Right now we don't know exactly when the DRC with begin issuing exit visas again, we do know that they assure us it is temporary, and we do know that we are still several months from even needing our visas for our boys.

Most of all we know that God has called us to this journey, and that he has a story that he is trying to tell as well. We are praying that things move with a speed that can only be of God and that in the meantime the rest of our adoption process would continue as normal.

Would you pray with us that we could be Mary's right now and not worry about tomorrow and what it will bring but concentrate of what God is trying to teach us today!

In other news we did find out that the boys had a recent medical and Liam has been recovering from malaria. Would you please pray that God would keep our boys safe and healthy and provided for!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support in this journey!
