Garage Sale Success!

What an amazing garage sale weekend we had! Over the past year we have collected and collected items for our sale! Never before have we seen such generosity! You all were amazing! I cannot thank you enough for your contributions! We had so many of you here late helping us set up and before the sun was up helping us sell!

What a weekend it was!

We were selling things so fast that we didn't even have time to take pictures of everything!

At the end of the weekend we had made ALMOST $2,000.00!!!!!!!

 

AND

 

$432.00 for Congo Mission of Mercy!

 

 

We were so successfull we just might do it again!

We are hoping to be featured in the coming months, in fact they are selecting May's families this weekend, and thanks to some amazing people we were able to submit a fantastic video! Please Pray that we are featured!

Families are making as much as $15,000.00 in one week so this could be huge for our boys, and all they ask for is $1.00!

Okay so maybe it's not from outer space, and maybe its not here to bring terror, but it is definelty going to take over our house if we don't sell it all!

We have gathered sooooo much great stuff for our garage sale this weekend thanks to all of our amazing friends! We will be up before the sun tomorrow getting it all set up and ready to sell!

We will have amazing cupcakes from the one and only Lauren Chapel, proceeds will be going to benefit a wonderful organization called sixty feet: http://www.sixtyfeet.org/get-involved/

and to help build a transitional home in DRC where our boys are!

Please come by and shop, feel free to bring items to add to the sale (even the day of!) and hang out for a while, but beware, we might put you to work!

We cannot wait to see what God will do through all of your amazing generosity!

We have names!

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

So, our boys have African names (which we cannot share here yet). After a lot of discussion about if we would change their names, we have decided to do so. We want them to have a tie to our family, as well as their birth family so they will keep their birth name as their middle name.

We have finally decided on names for our boys! Because we wanted them to have a tie to our family, they will share Kelly's name.

Our two year old will be:

 Kelly but we will call him Hank

our 5 year old will be:

William but we will call him Liam (thank you Beth Butler for the idea!)

So... HANK AND LIAM it is!

 We are sooooooo humbled, blessed and overwhelmed by the impact you have made in our boys lives through our vacation raffle! Thank you does not even begin to express our gratitude! We have raised $1,320.00 through this raffle! WOW!

and yes, that does mean that I will be cutting up 1,320 pieces of paper today! PRAY FOR ME! But really I will be doing it with a huge smile on my face because of the gratitude we feel for YOU!

We are $1,320 closer to bringing home two sweet boys that we did not know God had planned for our family, but that in his greatness he knew of all along!
